Hi there!
My name is Joe Wells and I am the Executive Director of the Midwest Law Enforcement Training Institute, or MLETI for short.
I have been a police officer since 1996 and a certified law enforcement instructor since 1997.
I've greatly enjoyed my role as an instructor and mentor for newer officers. Soon after becoming an instructor, I decided that I would direct my efforts towards the educational aspect of the career field and hopefully someday retire to a teaching position at a college, academy or private training.
I founded MLETI in 2008 as a means to promote myself as an instructor, and increase my opportunities to teach.
With national certifications, I specialize in the fields of Report Writing, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and Domestic Violence. However, I also provide several training programs based in the general field of studies for law enforcement.
